Actually like any other technology
when it is fully adapted the cost will go down. Costs are high because the demand isn't there yet. But like anything else it will come down, so the payback can be realized sooner.

Then again seeing other forms of payback such as reduced pollution which in turns means less carcinogens inhaled. Is more profound in my opinion than $$$.

And for an industrialized civilization NOT to pursue clean forms of power is ludicrous and an invitation for further exacerbating the existing problems down the road. Stop being so 80's and get with the times. Solar, Wind and Wave generators are going to happen... to not pursue them is to fail our nations future. devil
