Bad Idea
When people realize that it's going to take them 15-20 years to
recoup the costs of their solar panels, demand will shrivel up.

This whole obsessions with making use of 1 kilowatt per square
meter (under perfect conditions with 100% collection and
conversion efficiency) to power an industrial civilization is
completely non-rational.
