I suspect the entire gaming industry is in for some major changes
Despite the free speech zealots, government has a right to make decency laws and if the video game companies refuse to abide by reason and good taste they can be forced to comply with law or pay fines so high they will be forced to close their doors. Prison sentences for corporate principals who violate law would be appropriate too.

The issue here is not about free speech, it's about making money via unsavory practices. Thompson is likely to clean the industry up which is a good thing for everyone except the folks who profit from selling scum.
