For the money
somebody else posted that the PS3 was the better value. Someone noted that to add on similar features to Xbox 360 you'd outprice the PS3. That said, the short supply of PS3 probably means waiting as long as Europe before seeing enough to satisfy the general populus, the ******** sleep for a week on the street gamer will have theirs, and the money means little will have theirs from them on eBay.

Like Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, I'll wait this one out for all the kinks and critiques to get worked out, plus the price gauging to go down, then evaluate whether I've left Sony off the hook for other things in consideration of buying their 'hub of the future'.

This year seems more Xbox360 and maybe the Wii, for the price I'll probably have just as much fun without the camping out on the street, IMO.
