Blind test
I finally figured out what we really need: It would have so much
fun. Imagine all the music players came out through one
distribution company that didn't make anything. None of these
players were advtertised by their manufacturer, only the
distributor. Nobody in the buying public knew who made what.
Now imagine some Apple hater looking at his ipod and thinking:
"OK so maybe it's not made by Apple. Yeah, it's probably some
other company and that's OK. But what if Apple did make it?
What do I do? Do I throw it away or keep it a secret? What do I
do? I can see the sweat forming on the brow and hear the
gnashing of teeth. It's kind of stupid to base your decisions on a
product which you didn't conceive of, didn't design, didn't
manufacture and didn't create any advertising for solely on who
made it. If it's just crap, it'll go away by itself. It shows when you
have to go through your ego to get to your wallet, or your
driver's licence or a semblance of good manners.
