What's more important in the short term is an HD Recorder, since All we currently have in terms of HD content is for the most part live broadcasts. Only after enough product is available will people start to buy anything. I know that I didn't buy a DVD player until prices started coming down AND I saw a reduction in the amount of content available on VHS . . .
