Premium prices
So far DRM on cd's has been an expensive and embarrassing failure (see the Sony Rootkit for the prime example). I don't see a lot of DRM on the cd's I buy (then again, I buy mostly indies or obscure stuff from the majors which I only buy used). They seem to have no problem selling the majority of discs without any DRM.

As for the premium price on the Jessica Simpson song, Yahoo claims this is because of the customization feature, where you can put your own name in the song, not the lack of DRM. Still, not a bad business model to consider--DRM free usable tracks could cost more than crippled less usable DRMed tracks. That would at least be fair, selling inferior products for less money than superior ones.
