Windows is a religion, not a tool
That is why having it run seamlessly on an Apple is an incredible
threat to the integrity of the whole PC community. They latched
onto this gravy train thinking they were the "chosen people".

Had Apple made all these switches to Intel (BFD) years ago, what
would have been the impact?

Just the same old tired lame excuses.

Microsoft is THRILLED that Windows can be run on a Mac. They
won't do anything to stop it because their corporate strategy is
to have Windows on every PC in the world. This helps them
achieve that.

What I suspect now is that those that don't by Apple have some
deep-seeded grudge/irrational/quirky faith-based reason to
continue filling the coffers of Dell and HP instead of trying out
the world's best hardware/software combination.

Hey, some people just never see themselves good enough to
have the best!
