- No. Apple discarded G5 like any guy would their girlfriend,
-
when a cheaper one comes along.
That's all what it's about.
Considering how Apple ALWAYS hyped how much better G5 (and all the way down to the early days of the 68040 and its predecessors) was to the Intel equivalent, their switch to Intel -- and their subsequent flip-flop of "Intel is much better than Motorola, oh yeeeeeeeeeeah." is something I don't believe for an attosecond.
The Gx is a dead market.
You can thank APPLE for it.
Nobody else.
BTW: AMD makes a superior processor than the Intel, so one day I'll have to find Apple's excuse for using Intel over AMD. Don't expect me to believe it either; we all know the truth: "Intel" is a known name and that's all people care about. Why think when a little graphical logo means more? - Posted by: HypnoToad Posted on: 07/18/06 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
