Renting music does not seem to be catching on
It's interesting to see, the rental model seems to be the only way any other player can think of to differentiate themselves from the iPod, in hopes of finding a niche in the market. So far, it doesn't appear that the market is interested in renting music, given the numbers compared to cd and download sales.

So I don't see much future for this player, unless they can come up with something more compeling (and drop the price--sheesh, $300 plus $15 a month!?!?!).

And no, I don't see the ability to download music anywhere anytime to be much of an advantage. Who absolutely has to hear a song so quickly that they can't wait to get home? Why not just buy a player with a bigger capacity and already have that song pre-loaded?

And don't forget, if it does catch on, Creative will sue them for organizing song names and menus in a hierarchy.
