Just this week my Inspiron quit charging. I checked the adapter output and it was 19 volts as specified. The system is still under warranty, and I contacted Dell through their Net cupport chat line at about 3PM on Tuesday. The support person, Lashandra Carter, properly decided that it was a mobo problem, and said she would have a replacement sent out. She also asked if I wanted a Tech to come out to my home office to replace it, and I said yes. The next day (Wednesday) I got a call from a local Tech wanting to set a time, and we set it for the next morning at about 9AM. He arrived at 8:30, and my system was again fully operational by 9:30 Thursday morning.
Dell got the mobo to Albuquerque and arranged for the Tech in one day, about as fast as is possible. The Tech then got to me at my earliest convenience. What better service should I expect?
