Wow.
At first glance, I thought, "Man, this Mac user actually has a decent point." Then I read your post and found that it consisted of the same, ego-centric frill that usually emanates from Mac keyboards. As such, I am obliged to prove you wrong.

We artsy people like our computers to work for us seemlessly not like clunky Windows.

I'm a 3D animator who uses 3D Studio Max. MacBook Pros have pitiful graphics horsepower which is hindered even further by the useless eye-candy of Mac OS X. That, and they cost more than the more powerful, 17-inch laptops offered by Dell.

Speak for yourself. I'm an artsy person, and maybe if Mac OS X actually did work "seamlessly" when I used it, I'd have liked it. However, when FinalCut Pro crashed twice every 45 minutes

Still I think Apple would make a 20" about half that weight with more features.

Unfortunately, it would probably come with a handicapped graphics card and half the memory as the Dell, but Mac zealots such as yourself frequently sweep that little bit under the rug. Oh, and then there're the features that the Dell has that the Mac would lack... those also go without mention.

It's like Apple's marketing department.

My 20" iMac weighs less than 20 lbs.

It also can't be run on battery power. It also doesn't have eight speakers and a subwoofer. It also has half the graphics card the Dell has. It also doesn't have wireless.

*sigh*
