What is the target audience?
I'm having a hard time picturing where this could be useful. Laptops have become powerful enough with large enough screens to serve as desktops if portability was the goal. Desktops can be built to be reasonably light (especially now that LCDs are more popular than CRTs) so regular desktop computers are now fairly luggable if infrequent portability was required. I have a hard time picturing why I would want to spend $3,500 to shave a few pounds off a $1,500 desktop or add a crappy sub-woofer to a $2,000 laptop?

Has Dell stated anywhere who they think will buy these? From the CNET review (link is in the story):
The bottom line: A striking feat of engineering that's sure to garner attention in a stylish home or on a multimedia-intensive sales call, the Dell XPS M2010 is simply too expensive and impractical to be anything more than a curio for the rest of us.
