Every Boater Will Want One

Here is how it might work. The large-scale government initiatives procure the 100 buck pcs and these are distributed to the people or not. In any case the 100 buck pc ends up for sale on ebay or crag's list - you get the idea. Boaters who need hand powered gear exactly like this for backups buy them up. So does every wilderness camper and hermit and anyone concerned about disasters - like Katrina. In other words any smart person. They pay up to 400 bucks. Perhaps the machine is never used but it does appear to be an attractive emergency device capable of monitoring bad weather, assisting in first aid and communicating for help. Better than a cell phone.
