If Dell thinks they can win by going head-to-head with Apple with high-end shoppers, they must be getting desparate! These people aren't going to want to wait for their system, and Apples look, feel and perform much better.

Dell does one thing well -- low cost manufacturing. They should find ways to put more quality in rather than just taking cost out. Their corporate service is OK (although I shouldn't NEED to be on a first name basis with their contract repair guy...) Friends tell me their consumer service is very poor. That is where they should be spending money.
