What I find amazing
is that Microsoft can't even bring itself to be truly charitable! I read your links and it rings of nothing but the atypical greed of any American corporation. Why can't Microsoft be so generous as to assist the truly poor in attaining technologies to allow for growth without strings?

It is this very greed that is exhibited daily by Microsoft that will continue to spur the Open Source movement around the world. And this will be what will cut the giants own throat... just enough that eventually it will bleed enough that it may never recover from the damage it has inflicted to itself!

Truly amazing!
