Double standards? You are right!
In Microsoft's case, it was more about commodity pricing

and

For the iPod, pricing was never an issue as they were always more expensive than the competition.

Considering that Windows has always been more expensive than OSX (MUCH more expensive in multi-computer households), how exactly will you hold on to this position without falling into a double standard?

not to mention all the deals they did with OEMs

Sounds like brilliant business strategy to me, something you are quick to credit Apple for with their iPod/iTMS/FairPlay strategy. It has everything to do with making your product good enough and easy to buy. Microsoft made their product extremely easy to buy. Apple went out of their way to make their product hard to buy but Apple would still have won if Windows didn't do what people wanted. Similarly, any of the multitude of MP3 players which have far more features than the iPod could have won if the iPod didn't do what people wanted. Like I said: marketing is why Windows and iPods are market leaders. That isn't a bad thing!

You've repeatedly called Apple a monopoly with nothing to back you up, yet when a court rules against MS, you decide to ignore it?

I don't ignore it, I simply don't agree with it. You obviously look at someone else's opinion as proof enough for you. Personally, I don't view someone else's opinion as proof in and of itself. If I agree with someone's opinion, it is only because I agree with their proof and have come to the same conclusions as they have. That is the difference between a sheep and an independent thinker.
