Why is competition good here?
But bad in places like Office document file formats, or web browsers? Everywhere MS is at the top, you insist that they are the de facto standard, and that everyone else should just fall in line and do what MS says to do.

But where MS is failing miserably, you seem to think that the de facto standard is meaningless. Funny that.
