- I in no way think MS is any less capable of DRM evil than Sony. I am sure the only reason HD-DVD has less strict DRM that Blue-Ray is MS using Toshiba to help lower the demand for a competitor's product. Still in answer to your question, MS did stand up and get some copy rights added to the HD-DVD model, even if it was only to support their own pathetic Managed Copy model and to spite the PS3. Regardless the X-Box lacks either such device at the moment and it will likely be an add on when it appears so the point is that Sony is mixing DRM evil with gamer appeal and not about the virtues of MS. As a gamer, I want a game system and what to leave the DRM debate with video playback for another day. Right now the choice is pretty damn clear to me.
