Not that strange...
I dual boot with XP and Linux, and have a Windows CE PDA. My wife owns a Mac Mini and a Shuffle, my daughter has her own Linux box and an iRiver MP3 player, and my son has an older g3 iBook that he takes everywhere. Given all these OS's and players any format that is DMRed with CRAP is out of the question. All of us are mobile music listeners and we don't feel we should have to burn and rip CDs and/or buy 4 portable CD players just to play the music that belongs to our family.
