Smart move by the record companies...
Since Apple holds 80% of all online purchased music, it was smart of the major labels to go along. None of the other online services seem to come close to Apple's model. I believe if they had tried to raise their prices, people would go back to pier to pier network services and begin downloading their music illegally. Apple has done more to legitimize online music buying then any other vendor. Good for Apple, the record industry, and most of all, the consumer. The ease of use offered by iTunes in combination with the iPod is second to none.
