Bring the Help Desk back to the U.S.A !
Offshoring is destroying customer service in many companies. Companies talk the talk of how important customer service is, but then you call their Help Desks and have to speak to "Ken" or "Mary" in India, who are poorly trained, have thick accents, and will hang up on you if they feel like it.
I know. In my job, we have to work with several Help Desks, of U.S. companies, that have been offshored to Asia, and the help these people provide is atrocious. We are forever passing on horror stories of total incompetence.
Offshoring might seem to improve the bottom line, but how much will it hurt the bottom line when customers abandon your products because your support is so awful?
