Seagate boosts drives to 750GB

Re: Overkill?: While it can be most certainly overkill and perhaps dangerous for some users who do not properly manage their space by either a) organization or b) backing up data, there are still many uses for large drives.

How about, for example, surveillance cameras? They could be awesome using a 750 gig drive instead of tapes where investigators can go back further in time to review video captures.

750 gig drives can certainly be useful for large multi-media files or high resolution files. One of the places I work at is a design shop and the users are fast approaching files that are in the 1 gigbyte size.
