How will the make it affordable?
If Blu Ray players are starting at $999 How will Sony make the PS3 affordable? The big reason the PS3 is delayed is because of this delema and promise. The Xbox360 costs $400 so the PS3 would roughly start at $400 (because we all know both companies will make as much off of these for as long as they can before competing in price) and add $999 to that $400 average console price making the PS3 $1399. How are they going to make the game system affordable. They'll probably see that no one will by the HD add-on for the Xbox so they will sell the PS3 without the blue ray and offer it as an add-on as well. No advantage unless they can somehow cheaply make the blue-ray players for the PS3. And if they can do that and still charge $900 + for the home players the intelligent person will realize they are milking us for every penny.
