Good point...
People have just spent loads of money on DVDs and hardware to play them. They're not about to throw all that away.

Plus the DRM side of it all, which this time next year will only be hurting the honest users (eg. the people who want to make a VHS backup of those expensive disks for the kids to use).

Pirates? They'll have the ripping process down to a fine art by then.
