Here's an idea for Toshiba & Sony
When these two products flop, maybe you could consider the wishes and conveinence of your Customers instead of the movie studios.

Make it a large in capacity as you can while maintaining DVD compatibility. Give the disk a simple file structure, and allow for new codecs to be added. (i.e. don't lock us into just WMV or anything else.) Offer us blank media in -R and -RW formats.

I'll buy that. So will a lot of people. The movie industry can follow or go to hell.

We're your customer. We're the ones paying the money. You either provide products that suit us or we'll buy from someone else. Or we won't buy at all.
