Virtuality is NOT real
Although I do not support pedaphilia in any way I do want to raise a point.

There are many role playing games online. Some of them contain extremely graphical violence. I personally don't support violence however I rarely see my friends who enjoy those game toting uzi's etc down the street.

I also know some friends who visit certain adult environments and roleplay as a member of the opposite sex. But I don't see these friends cross-dressing in public.

This does not necessarily mean that the participents of the game will take the same activies offline.

One of the virtues of a virtual world is that one can act out ones fantasies in a safe environment. You can be a warrior fighting huge monsters, an anthromorphic wolf living in a pack of similar beings, or experiment in sexual activies that in a real world would be classified as distasteful to many.

Certain aspects of our society will not go away just because we wish it. Making laws etc will only push things underground. We have all seen that during the prohibition times with the speakeasy's.

So why not let these people have a safe environment where they can act out their fantasy's - and with the release of the 'tension' be less likely to want to interact with the real world.

Take Care

Dave
