Ah I agree on safety to a point.
For instance we have the right to expect that our lawnmowers
blades will not come of and take out our feet in the process.
However if the government INFORMED us that band X's
lawnmowers tended to do this then I would hope sales would
plumet and the company would go out of business.

The iPod is a different animal. Even at it's highest volume level I
think like 15 minutes exposer is considered relatively safe at any
given time. Yes it can be dangerous but once infromed in detail
it should be something that we as the well informed public
should be RESPECTED to make our choice and live with the
consequences.
