Wait until you get a load of VMWare.
They haven't announced it for Mac yet, but I'm sure they will
soon. I've used it on Linux, and the performance, on Intel or
AMD hardware, is about the same as running it native.

The thing that's unlike running Windows native is that, if you get
any viruses or the system gets corrupted, you just shut it down
and don't save the changes to disk, just like you can with VPC.
The next time you boot it will be just like the last time.

Emulation is really the only safe way to run Windows. With
VMWare you won't even have to sacrifice performance.
