No EFI for Vista?
Seems to me Apple is doing nothing to prevent Windows on
Macs. It looks more like Microsoft is. EFI was planned for Vista. If
that's no longer the case, it's a change. Why?

Vista could benefit from EFI. Many current Windows problems
trace to boot-up. The immediate assumption is the loss/delay of
EFI is another shelved feature to guarantee Vista ships. Or
maybe it's ongoing support of legacy code. Who knows.

The third option is this, Microsoft is worried that the Mac that
runs both systems at speed might relegate Vista to being the
Mac's game console. Oh, you might have to open the odd auto
cadd file as well. Imagine that. 50 million lines of code devoted
to running half life!
