Really? Americans would take pay cuts?
Obviously you guys don't seem to understand the concept of money.
The problem is that you can pay people in economically depressed countries almost nothing, give them no benefits, and more or less use them as slave labor...yet suprisingly they can live like kings. Why, because their cost of living is nothing compared to ours in a dollar to dollar comparison. My wife is Russian and she lived rather well in her village as a teacher making what translated into $75 a month. For $150 a month she could have lived like royalty in her small village (don't confuse cost of living in Moscow with cost of living in Gukovo).

So how much of a pay cut can Americans really take? Can you live on $75 a month? Can you live on $500 a month? Not hardly.

In other words, we are not on an equal playing field with these 3rd world countries. The only way Americans can really bring jobs home is to boycott companies that send jobs overseas.

Write a letter to (insert company hear) saying how you were about to buy their product till you found out they sold out America by shipping jobs overseas.
If all these companies started getting hundreds of thousands of letters you better believe the CEO with the $2 million dollar salary might find himself content with only $1 million a year so he can keep American positions open.

The only way things will change will be to hit them where it counts...their pockets. Otherwise they will continue to send jobs away as long as they still make their millions and millions in salary.

Like another poster in this thread said. Do you honestly for an instant think they care about people? *LOL* Yeah...right.
