"capable of running Windows XP " does not - "runs Windows XP"
Today Vanity Fair runs Abramoff's article. I have not read the article yet but I understand Microsoft's relationship to Abramoff is not discussed. Abramoff, while not on Microsoft's payroll, was part of Preston Gates and Ellis, a law and lobbying firm, established in 1990, IMO, primarily to help Microsoft through its antitrust problems.

Abramoff, took the culture of corruption learned at Preston Gates and Ellis and practiced at Microsoft (the Gates is Bill Gates' father) to Washington DC, and Preston Gates and Ellis and Microsoft were able to convince the Bush administation (read bribe) to let Microsoft off the hook. Several of Abramoff's associate lobbiests were consultants to Microsoft. There is no getting around the connections. The problems surrounding Abramoft are rooted in the problems Microsoft has had with the win-at-any-cost culture prevalent there.

The press release wording "capable of running Windows XP " does not mean "runs Windows XP". Just as the press release wording "Windows is not DOS" did not mean DOS wasn't the operating system. Windows, we now know was never an operating system, only a product wrapped around an operating system.

My point is that the representation of Oragami portrayed today is as corrupt as Judge Jackson proved Microsoft to be prior to the Bush Administration and Microsofts Abramoff.

We should not be fooled again. The Tablet operating system is the operating system product Microsoft intends for the devices being introduced under the O banner. This is obviouse because there is no key board. Those introducting products are doing so likely because Microsoft is paying them to rather than owing to any consumer interest. The Enron case comes to mind. Pay attention developers.
