Also, I reckon that this type of drive would have to come not as a single drive but in some sort of fast array configuration. Maybe there's another way than this, but man, the idea of having a single disk that large scares me when I think of rebuilding a system and/or its data (be that video or business or whatever).

Are these drives really aimed at the home/regular user, or are they aimed at the enterprise where they could (possibly) receive the expensive tender loving care and support they (probably) deserve?
