That's just the way it is. These guys are hooked on their Blackberries and they don't want any disruption to their service no matter what.
Quite frankly, I think the Patent office should just hurry the hell up, reject all the patents (especially since according to a Patent lawyer on BBC World mentioned, there was a Norwegian company which submitted patent applications pre-dating that of NTP's submissions) and then the court system should acknowledge this, throw stones at his former jury who cluelessly ruled in NTP's favour and forget the damages altogether!
And that's not just to teach NTP a lesson but all patent trolls as they're termed.
