- I should have said the inventor of the patent is dead. Obviously any company cannot own itself, so of course the company owner is not dead. Sorry about the sloppy writing. Im simply saying that the lawyers who helped set up the company and have a part in it are not being directed by the creater of the software in question, still speaking a little loosly here but I hope you follow.
