Unfortunately
Unfortunately, screwed companies don't come back.
This case clearly shows the use to which the patent system has been perverted.
It was created to encourage invention and innovation by ensuring a reasonable return on intellectual property.
It is now being used to stifle invention and innovation by using the fear of legal retribution to extort funds from those who are inventing and innovating.
A patent should be a clear and precise means to an end, not some half baked idea.
While I'm on the soapbox, in what conceivable way is natural DNA an invention? It was there before the "invention" and is still there after the "invention" excatly as it was before. Columbus DISCOVERED America, he didn't invent it.
