I, for one, am sorry to hear this
I have a first generation Dell DJ and love it. 20 gigs of music (only music - after all, it IS an MP3 player) that I can swap out music easily and keep up to date. No crashes, no need to pay for iTunes store bought content, no lock in to Apple (although I like my iBook), no jumping thorugh hoops to convert iTunes music to MP3 format, just a basic MP3 player that works.

Sorry to see it go, Dell. I like their business machines, both laptops and desktops, and their servers are good enough for the price to keep my network going - and some really good bargains in their Dell Outlet. I hope they come up with a replacement that has the same capacity and reliability.
