Okay, now I'm laughing
The only difference between me and "those in power" is that
they're laughing all the way to the bank. They don't care that
they're hosing their constituents (why is an Alaskan
congressman writing legislation for California companies?).
They care that they get big donations and cushy free trips and
luxuries. The reasons don't really matter, they're whatever the
guy signing the check says are the reasons.

Luckily, I know you're much more honest and smarter than that,
and realize the true goals of legislation like this, increased
profits that have nothing to do with preventing piracy. Right?
