to increase profits. They've found an activity that people now do
for free, and they're looking for a way to charge them for it.

Let's pretend that all piracy and p2p sharing disappears tonight.
Tomorrow, do you want to bet that the media companies would
still want this legislature? Of course they would, they're
businessmen, their job is to maximize revenues. If you can't see
that, you're being deliberately blind.
