Funny how none of those security measures
you mentioned prevented a work print of the last Star Wars movie from being stolen from George Lucas' editing room. Of course, security isn't needed when the act is intentional on the part of the studio. The timing of the 'theft', an almost simultaneous round of FBI raids on suspected pirates, and a big push to pass new anti-piracy legislation through Congress was way too coincidental. Odd too was the fact that no one was ever arrested for 'stealing' the print.
I am not a Linux user and I don't pirate software or media of any kind but I can't help but want to support this anti DRM movement as it (DRM) is a violation of our right to do with as we wish that which we have paid for.
The movie and recording industries are quick to blame piracy for their supposed loss of sales but, in fact, they are making more money than ever before, and they're making it by producing some of the worst quality movies and music in human history. DRM is all about greed, nothing more, nothing less.
