You'd think that would have been great
IE come as cost bundled into the Windows OS. Since IE was bundled that means every single OS sale was a sale and spyglass should have gotten a percentage of the profits. If they didn't then that wasn't what the contract said.

I'm just going off complete gossip here of course. I have no idea what Microsoft bought. The only real case I remember reading was the guy who devloped Hotmail got paid an obscene amount.
