Did they actualy buy Spyglass?.
Did they buy them, or just license the technology, and as I recall
(correct me if I'm wrong), it worked out horribly for Spyglass, as
it was based on a percentage of revenue from selling copies of
IE, which was, of course, given away for free.

And shouldn't they have bought Mosaic, at least if they're as
virtuous as the parent poster suggests? After all, Mosaic was
there first, and MS would of course be happy to pay off the real
inventor of the technology, and not just buy some second rate
imitator. Right?
