Uhhhh...
I don't know where you obtained your price structure as I've not seen anything anywhere else. Computer users bought CD players/burners by the ton when the technology was advancing to pack more data onto single layers CD's, then single layer DVD, now double layer DVD, so I don't see technology promised for 2010 having a major impact on buying decisions now. Who needs a 300 gig platter to record an 8.5 gig movie? The market cost of the DVD's capable of high density, and their player/burners, for the movie buyer as well as the average technology user will be the major driver, after the format dust settles.
High density medium has nothing to do with DRM and vice versa, DRM is an issue with today's technology and just ports over to high density.
