Hmm?
These Drives won't be cheap, circa USd$1000 is the possibility for the initial launch!

Initial media supplied, is single layer only limited to 25 gigabyte. and is extremely scarce and very pricey circa USD$100 to $160 each!

Burn speed at 2X, will be circa 50 minutes or so!

DRM(digital rights management) questions remain unanswered, but given SONY's current total paranoia, about treating all legitimate customers as thieves and sheep to be fleeced in every possible way, means that it will be very draconian in extreme!

Me , I think ,I will wait for the cheaper more versatile drives sourced ex Chinese Mainland!, as an interim measure, but only if the media price falls below USD$5 per unit!

But then again the 300 gigabyte holographic recorders, are starting to look like a superior option all round, and if they reach 1.2 terabytes by 2010, then who would need these SONY Blu-ray boat anchors?

Ah , choices don't you love them!
