It's not McDonalds food it's calories vs exercise.

We take in more calories i.e. McDonalds food and at the same
time we don't work physically nearly as hard as we use too.

More people...more crime. I live in upstate NY and I don't lokc
my apartment or my car. Still depends on where you live.
Another factor for the 1950's it is considered the Golden Age for
American. Still a relatively low population level and that was the
countries time of increadible growth and wealth right after WWII.
Hope and the idea that everyone and their mother was moving in
the right economic direction was the prevailing thought. Less
heoplesness, less poverty, less crime. Still there were alcoholics
and drug addicts. There were child molesters and wife beaters,
and yes murderers. Even despite the fact that for our nation the
1950's might have been seen as the best time ever!!!

Oh and I am all for balance but befoe video games and TV and
even movies what drove the criminals and killers and molesters
of their time?
