People aren't complaining about that because such a law doesn't
exist. And again, there is no law which prevents a minor from
seeing any MPAA rated movie (X is not an MPAA rating, it is a
designation made by the pornography industry). The MPAA
rating system is completely voluntary and was created because
the MPAA was experiencing the same presures the game
industry is experiencing today. But, for some reason, MPAA
ratings and self policing are good enough, the ESRB ratings
aren't. That is where the complaint comes from, there is a
double standard being displayed here.

And before you go and try to comment on how I didn't mention
"X" rating movies, we're not talking about pornographic games
so there is no reason to bring pornographic movies into the
discussion. Your analogy of M rated games and X rated movies
is also flawed, an M rated game is analogous to a R rated. An
AO rated game is an NC-17 movie or an "X" rated movie. For
the ignorant, the game ratings are:

E (Everyone) - The same as a G or possibly PG movie
T (Teens) - The same as a PG or PG-13 movie
M (Mature) - The same as a PG-13 or R rated movie
AO (Adults Only) - The same as an NC-17 or "X" rated movie

Finally, as for what bad will come of it, anything which restricts
the people's first ammendment rights is bad. Period, end of
story.
