OK...YES I do agree that there has to be some limitations.

Which is why I don't agree with the seatbelt laws but I would wan
the government to inform me as a citizen the risks and dangers
involved with their use or lack there for of.

I would approve of a rating system but I would not stop kids
from purchasing it...instead I would expect parents to at the very
least check the rating system on their kids games and perhaps
even see the game in play because who knos what you find
violent content and what I find may be two different things and
the rating system may fail one or both of us.

My problem is that I think the government with each passing day
is getting more and more arrogant and disrespectful of it's
bosses US!! I would choose rather than have them place these
regulations into law to rather have them voted on by the public
and then I could at least live with it better. The concept that we
put these people into place with out vote and then for 2, 4 or 6
years or more they are free to make laws upsets me. The idea
that the only time I can voice my disaproval of their laws is by
voting them out after the law is put into place is well flawed.

Again yes to rating for the citizens/consumers should always be
well informed about every choice they make. But key to me is
that we be able to choose after being informed. If your child
brings home a game in which you find the rating objectionable
check it out (the rating might be wrong) and then with all that
information decide.
