So take responsibility...
Don't use the games as an excuse for the dumbing down of kids, when the real problem lies with YOU, the parent.

I'm sick of all this rubbish where people are suing major corporations because their hot cup of coffee was too hot and burned their nether regions, or that a couple kids whipped out a gun and went of the rampage because they were inspired by a game or their favourite heavy metal band. These are no more than EXCUSES for one thing and one thing only - people refusing to take responsibility for their own actions. And for those who are mentally derranged and even with strict adult supervision still turn out psychotic, that's just someone with a really screwed up mental state of which they are a genuine problem to themselves and society.

Forget this pleading insanity nonsense, you're either fit for society as a whole or you're a danger to it.

Forget trying to pass the blame onto a higher authority or a larger company. Your common sense is all you need to understand the difference between the right and wrong ways of doing things.

Forget trying to excuse the fact that the person is a minor and did not know what they were doing. A few years ago, a twelve year old kid threw a four year old kid into a river and drowned, where they were all with their families having a picnic. Who do we blame? The parents for not supervising or even teaching the kid between right and wrong? Heck no. I blame the ten year old because he damn well knew what he was doing and it was not under his parents instructions either so whilst it's certain that had they been supervising, things would more than likely have been different but as kids, we all like to have a little freedom to play. No parent ever expects their child to be a murderer. Thankfully, the judicial system saw it that way as well and that kid was jailed accordingly. No slap on the wrist. Now THAT is how you handle these situations. No banning of video games or any other supposed external influences of this behaviour will ever change that.

Wake up and smell the coffee guys.
