This should be something interesting to watch...
I've been saying for a while now that the new natural resource is
PEOPLE or brain power. So the more...the better. In any given
location you have X amount of people and of those people you
will have Y amount of brilliant even extrodinary people. So a
country like India or China with huge populations or even Brazil
will have a greater Natrual resource pool than say the United
States. The only real problem like in the past iron, oil or coal
was/is tapping into said in some effective manner. Now in this
case a $100.00 laptop with free applications might just be an
effective tool. Kids have a way of sitting in front of a computer
and simply picking up on it's operation and finding uses in
moments where their parents and other adults would take years
to learn or have their children teach them and so a natural
resource begins to be refined.

I was watching Lou Doobs on CNN last night and a reporter said
that one state or province in India graduate a few years ago a
few thousand engineers and today they graduated tens of
thousands of engineers. That alone is telling. A nation such as
our with a population of something like 300 Million can only
produce so many engineers and upper sciences/technology
leaders each and every year. Wiith the current social trend of
science being the bad guy in our nation and other natioins with
far greater populations and science NOT being the enemy but
the light to social and cultural improvements we might be in line
for a butt kicking and sooner than many would like to think
about.
