eBay buzzing with Xbox 360 auctions
If the average was $786 then those resellers didn't get much of a profit. The Best Buy in my area forced you to buy a bundle, so you had to buy the xbox 360 along with another controller and games and some other junk. Probably paid $650 or more for the unit when all was said and done.

Now for those peeps who claimed to sell it for $2500, $5000, or $12000, i'd love to know if the winner of the bid actually paid up the money.
